A RESOLUTION
1 Designating January 11, 2003, as "Invite a Neighbor to Dinner
2 Day" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, "Invite a Neighbor to Dinner Day" revives the
4 tradition within American communities of celebrating home and
5 community and the habit of neighbors looking out for one
6 another; and
7 WHEREAS, Sharing a meal with a neighbor in conjunction with
8 "Invite a Neighbor to Dinner Day" can bring together neighbors
9 who have never met or neighbors who have not had other
10 opportunities to socialize; and
11 WHEREAS, Community members who participated in "Haverford
12 Township Day" festivities on October 5, 2002, are joining in
13 celebration of "Invite a Neighbor to Dinner Day" on January 11,
14 2003; therefore be it
15 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate January
16 11, 2003, as "Invite a Neighbor to Dinner Day" in this
17 Commonwealth and express its hope for unity and appreciation of
1 shared traditions among neighbors in communities throughout this
2 Commonwealth.
